A melancholy tea party in a disused Hannover factory

Olga is a discontent teacher, Masha is unhappily married, Irina longs for true love. After their father's death, the three sisters are stuck in their family home in the countryside. Their hopes for a better life are all centred on Moscow, that faraway place of longing. The six actors playing the Prosorov sisters and their acquaintances as our contemporaries are so close you can touch them: director Maruša Kink places her audience right into the set of her production with them. Huddled around the samovar, we wait for the move to Moscow with the sisters and their companions, smoke a cigarette, drink tea and watch them live their lives and make music. Until they finally depart.
