Félicité

Félicité is a singer and performs every night in a bar in Kinshasa. She’s a middle-aged woman, proud and independent, and as soon as she sings, she seems to forget the world around her. When her son ends up in hospital and needs an urgent operation, Félicité tries to find the money from somewhere. She sets off on a breathless journey through the Congolese metropolis full of the contrasts of poverty and decadent wealth. Berlinale 2017, Jury Grand Prize (Silver Bear).
