Homage to a temporary community
You’re already waiting with excitement. It’s about to start. For a couple of hours, you’re our motivation and our mirror.
What if you don’t like it? You won’t let yourselves be cheated. If we don’t really mean it, you’d notice. You wouldn’t applaud. But if we touched you, sensed your mood, disturbed and excited you, if we manage to do that, then we’ll have achieved our aim. We’d be nothing without you. What can move us, if not you?
We cheer for you!
Both trained at the Braunschweig University of Art (HBK), the artist duo Lotte Lindner & Till Steinbrenner live and work in Hannover. In collaboration with the artist Anna Rispoli, they have already shown two pieces at the Theaterformen Festival: Die Erfindung des Fahrstuhls in the former Dutch Pavilion on the Expo grounds in 2011 and Dein Wort in meinem Mund in various locations around Hanover – including a sauna, the new town hall and in the FKK Villa (nudists’ sauna). Ihr, a piece that accompanies the festival, will be developed for the 30-year anniversary of the Theaterformen Festival and will be installed in various places in the city centre of Braunschweig.
