How to lose oneself amidst the masses of a metropolis and make wonderful discoveries this is what the performers of Back to Back Theatre reveal in an astonishingly inventive way. The city is their stage the audience take their seats on a special seating unit amidst the hustle and bustle and are given headphones. Immediately the world around them draws close. A dramatic rescue action is taking place right in the middle of all the coming and going. Who is involved? Steve and Gary, who are quite different from other people, fight for their place in life. How the Australian actors succeed in drawing attention to themselves and their precarious situation remains their theatrical secret. However, in their lives as professional actors they do not keep secret the fact that they are considered intellectually disabled and see the world in a fascinatingly different light. The audience of this unusual production discover that this makes for highly emotional theatre.
There will be an audience talk after the second performance on 15 June.
Admission free.
